PACT L.A. is expanding operations thanks to a $500,000 bequest from U.S. Trust!

Nonprofit PACT helps at risk 10-15 year olds make their transition to adulthood a success! In
PACT, kids avoid two of the worst "wrong turns"
they can make: joining a gang or dropping out
of school.

Since 1994, PACT's acclaimed Work Ethics Education Program (WE) has provided 1,000 kids a real, one-on- one adult-mentored work experience. It teaches them determination, how to present themselves and builds self-esteem as they earn weekly paychecks and
monthly trips. Their work helps PACT fund itself.

In PACT's new Lifetime Education Empowerment Program (LEEP), children discover which of 24 basic learning capabilities they are really good at and which need help. Over 10 mentored weeks their evaluation-generated workbook helps them improve the rest... and that lasts a lifetime.

There is no potent lobby that speaks for at risk kids. You can help! Read on...

PACT keeps kids busy and away from gangs and the streets.
